Privacy policy

Short, because we collect very little and sell none of it.

This policy covers cremamethod.com, operated by Slate Mill Group. It describes what we collect when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read and which buy links get clicked. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you are on, and how you arrived. It does not tell us who you are.

We also record an event when someone clicks a buy link, which tells us that a click happened and on which page. It does not tell us whether you bought anything or what you bought.

Google Analytics sets cookies. You can block them with a browser setting or an extension, and the site works exactly the same without them.

The contact form

If you send a message, we receive the name, email address and message you typed. We use them only to reply. The message is delivered to our own mailbox by email and is not added to a mailing list, sold or shared.

The form checks a hidden field and how long the page was open before submission. Those are spam defenses; they are not tracking, and they store nothing.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and for operating the service. We do not use them for analytics.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent personal information. There is no arrangement under which we could.
  • We do not run a newsletter or a mailing list.
  • We do not run display advertising or ad-network retargeting pixels.
  • We do not require an account, and there is nothing to sign up for.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Affiliate links

Buy links on this site go through a redirect on our own domain and then on to a retailer, with our affiliate tag attached. That tag tells the retailer the visit came from us. What happens after you arrive is governed by the retailer’s privacy policy, not ours — we receive commission reports, and those are aggregate figures with no personal information in them. See the affiliate disclosure.

Cookies

The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics. Crema Method sets none of its own for advertising or profiling. Blocking them costs you nothing here.

Your choices

  • Block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.
  • Use a browser or extension that blocks analytics entirely.
  • Ask us to delete a message you sent through the contact form, by emailing info@cremamethod.com.

Data retention

Contact form messages are kept while they are useful for replying and following up, and deleted on request. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ own default retention settings.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, this page changes first, and the date at the top of it moves. We do not make quiet changes to this page.
